WHAT DO YOU REMEMBER OF 2023?

I have to confess, when I think of Marcelle Ruth and our journey through the past year, I only ever think of the clinical work we have done…how many patients we have seen…how much our staff strength has grown by…our standards…quality of care…

I was therefore truly surprised when the team put together the work we have done through the Marcelle Ruth Foundation: a joint effort by the team in collaboration with the patient/relative support group, Marcelle Ruth Friends and with a long list of friends, colleagues, companies, NGOs and ESPECIALLY, our sponsors…

It really is incredible what we have achieved to provide free screening to several people; to help patients access treatment where they would not have been able to; to raise awareness and reduce the stigma of cancer in line with the World Cancer Day goals, and something I am particularly proud of, to invest in capacity building and training of healthcare staff in the Oncology space.

I hope you enjoy reading the team’s production of it’s inaugural Marcelle Ruth Foundation newsletter and join me in thanking the multitude of people who have contributed to making all this happen…it truly “takes a village”…

Together with all those whose lives have been impacted, I am extremely grateful.
