Empowering Communities: CEO Speaks on Cancer Awareness at Family Worship Centre
The CEO had the privilege of speaking at Family Worship Centre (FWC) in Abuja, thanks to a chance encounter with Pastor Sarah Omakwu. This opportunity, following the Women’s Convention marking International Women’s Day, allowed her to address over 20,000 people across FWC’s 139 branches in Nigeria. She focused on critical cancer awareness messages: emphasizing that cancer impacts everyone, highlighting the importance of early detection and breaking down stigma.
She also stressed the significance of a healthy lifestyle, of education and awareness programs preventive measures including HPV vaccination to eliminate cervical cancer.
The session included a powerful Q&A where cancer survivors were able to share their experiences which was deeply moving.
The CEO deeply expressed her gratitude to Pastor Sarah Omakwu, Dr. Dorothy George-Ufot, the leadership team as well as the wonderful choir for their warm welcome.
This event highlights the crucial need for community support and awareness in the fight against cancer.
