MANSAG Spring Symposium
I Attended the Spring Symposium of Medical Association of Nigerians Across Great Britain (MANSAG), in Nottingham, UK at the weekend and was extremely impressed by the plethora of interesting and practical papers presented by trainees and some medical students.
The highlights for me included the incredible work on robotic surgery for Head & Neck cancers by Dr Dr Oladejo Olaleye together with his more recent collaboration with engineers from Rolls Royce to hopefully produce a more state of the art robot!
Presentations on medical entrepreneurship by Dr Tosin Sotubo-Ajayi and on research Collaborations with Oxford University by Prof Mahendra Patel continue to remind us how wide the “field of Medicine” has become which should hopefully enthuse the next generation.
I would like to thank the President of MANSAG, Dr Chris Agbo, the Chairman of the LOC, Dr Andrew Alalade and the rest of the organising committee for the opportunity to share the work we are doing at Marcelle Ruth in Lagos to change the narrative of healthcare in Nigeria by providing excellent standards of care for patients IN Nigeria and look forward to more collaboration with UK-based colleagues in the foreseeable future.
