The Future Leaders Network – March 2023

Dr. Modupe Elebute-Odunsi had the privilege of participating in a panel last Saturday morning organized by The Future Leaders’ Network. She was invited alongside some impressive panelists and was greatly impressed by their contributions. Despite being the eldest speaker, she was thrilled to engage with women who are earnestly accomplishing their goals. She described this experience as one of the best panels she has been a part of, noting the participants’ brightness, sharp wit, and determination. Additionally, she admired their sense of fashion and authentic approach to life.

The event attracted approximately 70 elegantly dressed young women, aged between 25 and 35, who convened at 10 a.m. on a Saturday morning for the Future Leaders’ Network. The four-hour session passed swiftly as the panelists collectively broke boundaries, shared professional and personal experiences, and encouraged resilience, passion pursuit, vision focus, and team investment. They also emphasized the importance of learning from failure.

Upon interacting with some of the young attendees after the session, Dr. Elebute-Odunsi discovered that many lacked financial support or family connections to advance their careers. However, they demonstrated a strong willingness to learn and grow with the right support and mentorship.

Dr. Elebute-Odunsi invites everyone to join her in celebrating these young women who showed up beautifully on a beautiful Saturday morning. Together, she urges us to contribute to building an incredible network of future female leaders, emphasizing that the time to act is now.
