We had the honour of welcoming Prof. Asif Chaudry, a Consultant Oesophageal & Gastric Cancer Surgeon at The Royal Marsden, co-founder of the International Upper GI Robotic Association, and Commissioner on the Lancet Oncology Commission for Cancer in the Commonwealth for a full tour of MRCC.

On Wednesday, Prof. Chaudry was in Lagos as a CWEIC Board Member, having chaired the Commonwealth-GCC Health Investment Corridor Roundtable at the Invest Lagos 3.0 Summit. A defining session on healthcare as a strategic investment opportunity across Nigeria and the Commonwealth.

His next stop was us.

Discussions spanned robotic and digital surgery, clinical innovation, specialist workforce development, and international collaboration in cancer care conversations MRCC was built for.
